This is the work we keep coming back to. Diane Scott’s Falling for Vincent is painted in acrylic and graphite on synthetic paper — a surface that resists, that demands a different kind of pressure and patience. The result is a painting that feels simultaneously controlled and abandoned: marks that know exactly where they are, sitting inside a composition that seems to have arrived rather than been planned.
It is art-historical without being reverent. It is personal without being confessional. It is the kind of work that makes you look again — and then keeps you looking.
