Thoughtfully crafted by artists founders James Baldwin and Kaye Canonigo, and a dedicated team of graphic designers, web designers, and developers — all united by a spirit of collaboration.

James Baldwin
Art Director & Co-Founder

James is the Art Director and Co-Founder of KaYe Art Collective, based in New Zealand, with a distinguished career spanning decades as a practising artist. Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, along with diplomas in Graphic Design and Illustration, James blends traditional artistry with a refined design sensibility.
His high-quality graphite drawings are recognised for their meticulous detail and dynamic compositions. James has exhibited his work both in New Zealand and internationally, earning recognition for his unique vision and craftsmanship. Some of his pieces are held in prestigious institutions and museums.
Beyond his personal practice, James is a respected art judge and mentor, guiding emerging artists to refine their craft and navigate the art world. He leads the collective’s curatorial vision, artist selection, and creative collaborations. With a sharp eye for composition and narrative, he ensures each project resonates with the collective’s artistic standards and storytelling goals—while empowering the artists he collaborates with and nurtures.
Kaye Canonigo
Creative Lead & Co-Founder

Kaye is the Creative Lead and Co-Founder of KaYe Art Collective, based in New Zealand, where she shapes the brand’s visual identity and strategic direction. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and is an experienced professional in business design, startups, and marketing, bringing an integrated perspective to creative leadership. Kaye loves working behind the scenes to support artists and the collective with dedication—but her presence is undeniable. Her work can be seen, heard, and felt throughout The Platform 88.
Her focus lies in crafting compelling brand narratives, developing cohesive design systems, and driving creative direction across all touchpoints—from digital to experiential. Passionate about making artists’ lives easier, she works creatively and relentlessly to fuel their growth and success. Kaye is deeply committed to elevating each artist from being simply a creator to becoming the founder of their own art-based business—unlocking their full entrepreneurial potential.
